 “Mum and Dad took me on a holiday and we went in a big plane to the Gold Coast. Gold Coast Airport was really cool fun.
Everyone was really nice and we saw lots of other big planes landing. You can fly just about anywhere from Gold Coast Airport, including overseas. I hope Mum and Dad take me overseas one day because planes are heaps of fun.
I got to meet the captain of the plane. He told me the plane we were on was called a Boeing 737. It was going really fast, more than 800 kilometres an hour which is heaps quicker than Dad’s car.
When we got to the Gold Coast Airport, I liked all the bright colours. It was sort of like being at the beach and I couldn’t wait to go swimming.
But Mum and Dad said I had to have something to eat at the airport before we could go anywhere which was good because all my favourite food was on the menu.
I can’t wait to go back to Gold Coast Airport because there is a special play area for kids. It’s called the Little Flyers Play Area. You get to watch your favourite movies on big comfy chairs and you can also win some fun prizes in the colouring-in competition.
 But best of all was Happy Helicopter - you can jump on him and you feel like you’re really flying. My little sister liked the Jungle Jive ride, but I told her Happy Helicopter was better.
When I grow up, I want to be a pilot at Gold Coast Airport.”
