 Our family (mum, dad, four-year-old Paris and six-year-old Andrew) had the opportunity to go on a wonderful family cruise together on P&O’s Pacific Sun. We all loved the cruise – it was the best holiday ever.
Our room was standard, but comfortable – it was really only for sleeping anyway. The ship has so many great things to do: swimming pools and even a slide, a movie theatre and daily shows. The kids got to go to the kids’ club where they enjoyed games, deck sports, lots of painting, pyjama parties, movies – and they got to meet new friends to play with all day!
We ate breakfast in the restaurant buffet-style; lunch on the deck or sometimes in the restaurant. In the evening, the kids ate their dinners at 5pm – including all the foods they love – and got to enjoy the meal with their friends. Meanwhile, mum and dad got to eat later and could enjoy their dinner with good conversation while the children had fun at the kids’ club.
On the cruise there are formal nights where we got to dress up, and the photographers took wonderful photos that we will treasure for a long time.
We visited wonderful destinations such as Noumea and the Isle of Pines. At Noumea, you have the option to take a tour or explore on your own – we chose to make our own adventure and had a look at the mainland.
On the islands the ship anchored out to sea and a little boat took us to the mainland. On these islands we got to see the natives and the coral, or you can just relax and swim in the beautiful blue water and sun bake on the white sand.
We had the best adventure and got to spend relaxing quality time together.
