Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is less than a 2 hour drive from most parts of Melbourne and less than an hour away from the Yarra Valley. Never skied before? Don’t worry, Lake Mountain's world-renowned ski school will get you into action in no time. There are a variety of toboggan slopes and huge snow play areas. There is something for everyone.
The visitor centre (which was untouched by the fire) has a licensed bistro and takeaway, retail shop, day shelter, the ski school and a full range of snow clothing, toboggans, and skis for hire. After a day exploring the trails or chasing the kids up and down the toboggan slopes, you will probably enjoy some hot food and a cup of coffee.

For those who want to make the most of the journey you can explore delights of the Yarra Valley or explore the Alexandra and Eildon district which is not far away.
