Captain Cook Holiday Park in the heart of Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, is the perfect location to base yourself while exploring the many attractions Bruny has to offer. Bruny Island is located off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania and is accessed by a vehicular ferry which departs regularly from Kettering, a 40-minute drive south of Hobart.
The park is directly opposite the beach with its white sand and sky blue sea. It isn’t uncommon to see a pod of dolphins or migrating whales in the bay. The park itself is home to some local wildlife, including resident white wallabies, and the bird life is abundant with people travelling from all over the world to see them.
The award-winning Bruny Island Cruise departure point and the South Bruny National Park is an easy two-kilometre walk away. The well-stocked Adventure Bay Store is a stone’s throw away as is the Bruny Bowls Club with their popular Friday night meals. In fact, there are many culinary temptations on Bruny all within an easy drive.
Captain Cook Holiday Park was voted one of Tasmania’s Best Holiday Parks.
