Sundays Beach Club, Ungasan

Nestled in a secluded cove, Sundays Beach Club offers snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding and beach fun for kids.

The beach club, at the Ungasan Clifftop Resort, is perched right on the stunning bone-white sand of the Bukit Peninsula. Determined to make every day a Sunday, this beach club is the prime place for memorable relaxation. Sit back and relax to the breezy tropical tunes and have your every whim catered for with friendly Balinese service. There is a dedicated kids’ menu and evening bonfires with marshmallows and chocolate. Activities on offer include exploring rock pools and snorkelling in the clear waters of the lagoon. Or you can take out a complimentary stand-up paddleboard at low tide. The entry fee also includes towels and inclinator access to the beach.

You can also book a day bed on the VIP deck (available to all ages). The king beds fit two adults and two children and includes welcome drinks, a VIP amenities box with sun cream, bug spray, after sun cooling gel and a powerbank, which you’ll need with all the photos you’ll want to take at this picture perfect location.

Mrs Sippy, Seminyak

In Seminyak, just down from Potato Head, Mrs Sippy is home to Bali’s largest (800 square metre) saltwater lagoon-style pool, an Insta-famous five-metre-high diving board, and a variety of swim-up bars hidden beneath breezy palms. There are also one-metre and three-metre diving platforms allowing older kids to work up their courage.

There’s an entrance fee of roughly A$10 per adult and it’s close to the main area of Seminyak offering an affordable Bali day out for families. There are plenty of pool floaties on hand, a giant swing and more to keep little swimmers splashing all day long. Late afternoons and evenings tend to be busier with the pool party revellers, so get in early and duck out during the hotter afternoons. Before you do, even if you have fussy eaters, dine on the crowd-pleasing woodfired pizzas.

Finns Beach Club, Canggu

Finns Bali Beach Club has a prime beachfront location facing Berawa surf break. The club opens at midday and live DJs start performing as soon as the doors are open. Finns is huge with a 170 metres expansive beachfront, four swimming pools, including two family-friendly and only adults-only pools, two swim-up bars, two restaurants, sushi bar and retail shop. Although entry is free, you can get access to more features with a day pass for each individual location or go for a super pass giving you access to everything. Locker rooms and showers are available, and the family-sized cabanas are shady and spacious, ideal for enjoying poolside dining. Make sure you stay for the 180-degree sunset views over the ocean.

Adjacent to the Finns Beach Club is Finns Recreation Club with Strike Bowling, Splash Water Park, Bali Bounce and Cubby House Kids Club Bali.

The Reef Beach Club at The Apurva Kempinski Bali

Located at Nusa Dua’s Apurva Kempinski Bali, The Reef Beach Club has a dynamic beachfront vibe. Grab a cabana around the 42-metre infinity pool and enjoy live entertainment, SUPs and kayaks, a fantastic menu and creative cocktails in a luxurious setting.

Located in the five-star Apurva Kempinski Bali the beach club is set around the  infinity pool with cabanas and sunloungers. The Reef Beach Club’s restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with a rotating menu to highlight different cuisines as well as daily grill specials and creative cocktails for parents.

Kubu Beach Club, Jimbaran

Snuggled in a hidden white sand cove, Kubu Beach Club is exclusive to AYANA Bali guests and offers a refined resort vibe. Enjoy the inclinator ride down, savour great food, splash into the pool or sea, and indulge in fun activities such as hair braiding for a taste of old Bali charm.

You will find this Bali beach club in Jimbaran and nestled among one of Bali’s last remaining hidden white sand beach coves. The journey to its entrance is worth the 197 steps (or 35-second ride on the inclinator), especially due to its signature Bakso balung, an oxtail beef meatball soup.

Jungle Fish, Ubud

Set amongst Ubud’s lush hills, Jungle Fish combines verdant views with a beach club feel. The infinity pool and kids’ pool offer family friendly options, with lounge areas and shaded seating. Parents can sip cocktails and soak up the sun while the kids enjoy the many delights of this sublime tropical escape.

Café Del Mar Bali, Canggu

Born in Ibiza, reborn in Bali, Café Del Mar Bali has set up shop in Canguu. Its September 2019 opening long anticipated. Reminiscent of its Ibiza roots, the venue’s 700-square-metre infinity pool sits pride of place with VIP suites, poolside cabanas and daybeds from which mum and dad can languidly watch the kids splash about, plus in-pool sunken lounges for the ultimate in beachside bliss.

Restaurant cusine is inspired by the flavours of the mediterranean coast, don’t expect to find burgers and fries here!

Ku De Ta, Seminyak

Ku De Ta has been one of Bali’s best beach clubs for over 20 years. The weekly Family Sunday event is incredible for kids, the club transforms into a colourful beachfront children’s paradise. Kids’ activities are offer until 3pm, including pottery, macrame, mermaid swimming and a jumping castle. You’ll find great food, live music and drinks, plus a tempting children’s menu, kids’ barbecue and a variety of ever-changing activities from bouncing castles to sandcastles, plus a choice of arts and crafts, and workshops to keep the kids happy.

Karma Beach Club Bali

If you’ve never treated your family to a movie on the beach, Karma Beach Bali’s Monday movie nights is the time to go! Snorkelling, swimming, stand-up paddle yoga and watersports activities along with beach toys are provided by the club for the children. They also have big day beds with umbrellas to chill out under or have an oceanside spa treatment. You don’t have to be a guest to use the private beach; just pay approximately $10 per adult and the kids enter for free. There’s a great restaurant with kid-friendly staples and a beach bar serving cocktails for mum and dad.

The roof top Temple Bar has a gorgeous view of the ocean and is a great place to stop before going down to the beach on the inclinator, which was a treat for the kids in itself. If you want to take advantage of the nightclub-esque vibe, drop the kids off at the Three Monkeys Kids’ Club, then head back to the dancefloor and groove the night away.

Titi Batu Ubud Club

Kid-friendly all week long, Titi Batu goes all out on Sunday with foam pool parties, water fights, playground, kids’ room and jumping castles for kids. Parents can kick back with cocktails, delicious food and even spa treatments.

The family pool will excite everyone with its jumping bridge. It also has an onsite gym with yoga classes, squash court, ping pong, pickleball steam room and sauna. On the multi-sport court your can play basketball, volleyball, badminton and pickleball with social nights for each sport. Little groms will love the skatepark designed by Motion Skatepark Co. Instructors and equipment are available for hourly hire. 

Azul Beach Club, Legian

Azul’s open-air bamboo design, overlooking the ocean, sets a unique tropical scene. On Sunday Funday, parents can relax over mojitos in a laid-back, beachy atmosphere while kids splash and play, enjoy the Azul playground, or learn how to make wood-fired pizza.

Hotel Komune Resort and Beach Club

This Bali beach club is set on a  pristine volcanic beach with four awesome surf breaks. The calm waters at low tide are great for SUPing, snorkelling and splashing about. 

Enjoy poolside pizzas and seafood in the evening while kids’ movies are played on the outdoor screen.

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua

If you’re after a more casual, less conventional beach club with the security and privacy that a resort offers, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is for you. Beat the heat and enjoy soothing beverages by the water at Splash, the poolside hotel bar that offers everything from healthy juices to tropical cocktails and icy-cold beers. The best bit? You don’t even have to get out of the water to get served. In fact, being wet is encouraged.

Spend a little adult time together after dropping the kids off at Westin Family Kids’ Club or – even better – Westin Kids’ Spa, one of Bali’s only dedicated children’s spas, with treatments using child-friendly products.

Motel Mexicola, Seminyak and Canggu

Children love colour, so go ahead and immerse them in it with Mexicola‘s bright and fun atmosphere! It is a great blend of Bali and Mexico, and the unique combination is a winner. There are multiple areas where adults can enjoy great food, each with space for children to play in. It is an excellent place to visit over the weekend for brunching and lunching. And of course, you’ll want to repeatedly visit the wishing well with its resident turtle who can resist falling in love with that?

La Lucciola, Seminyak

Family fun days and romantic nights is what La Lucciola is all about. Perched right on the edge of Seminyak beach, its key feature is an enormous open thatched roof building with a two-level dining area. There’s a special non-smoking section at the restaurant and of course they have high chairs. Keeping the needs of children in mind, the grass areas are well-lit so that your little ones can keep playing as you enjoy the view with a cocktail in hand. You can’t leave Bali without coming for brunch and enjoying their fresh juices, poached tamarillos and colorful tropical fruit platters with coconut toast, all delivered by smiling, sarong-clad waiters.

Cocoon Beach Club, Seminyak

Inspired by sunny beaches and warm waters, Cocoon Beach Club offers a laid back, relaxed environment during the day and a fine dining experience at night. Considered one of the most luxurious venues in Bali, they do a fabulous job at impressing kids with their Kids Menu and entertaining them with various pool-side toys and activities, just for kids and you can indulge in a spa treatment in the comfort of your own private cabana. After spending the day entertaining the littlies, you’ll want to take some adult time out and enjoy Cocoon’s hottest events including live DJs and entertainment. Lots of food, drinks and activities for the entire family adds up to a setting that will make you want to come back again and again.
