Balloon Story opens in Sydney in January!

Get ready to step into a world where everything is made from rubber and air.  

Balloon Story is an immersive experience that wowed crowds in New York City and earned an impressive 4.7 out of 5-star rating among the children and parents who went to check it out. This January, Balloon Story is landing in Sydney for a limited time, and it promises a fun experience for the whole family.  

What is Balloon Story?

This immersive experience is similar to Bubble Planet and is made from more than 400,000 balloons. Each room, scene and sculpture is constructed from a clever selection of balloons in different shapes, sizes and colours. In Sydney for a limited run only, this attraction transforms everyday spaces into a playful, gravity-defying wonderland that delights kids and adults alike.

Expect towering balloon sculptures that rise overhead, colourful pathways that invite exploration, and new imaginative scenes around every corner. Think animals, plants and underwater worlds all crafted entirely from balloons.

Families can wander through balloon-built corridors, weave through mazes and stumble upon interactive zones designed to spark curiosity and creativity. It’s a fully immersive, hands-on experience where discovery is part of the adventure. Younger children will love the bright colours and tactile elements, while older kids and adults will appreciate the artistry, planning and sheer scale of what’s been created.

Adding to the feel-good factor, every piece is made from natural latex balloons that are biodegradable, making Balloon Story an eco-friendly way to enjoy large-scale art

Balloon Story Sydney opens from 13 January 2026 and will run for a limited time.

Opening hours are:

Monday to Sunday: 9:00am to 8:00pm

Approximately 60–90 minutes

Where is Balloon Story in Sydney?

The experience will be hosted at Fever Pavilion at Sydney Showground, located on Olympic Boulevard in Sydney Olympic Park. It’s an easy spot to reach by car or public transport.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are priced from around $33 per person, with early bird discounts of up to 15% currently available. Kids under three enter for free, and there is no age requirement to attend.
