Where do the cabin crew sleep on a plane? This man found out

They’re hidden in plain sight.

The cabin crew sleeping quarters have always fascinated us at Holidays with Kids. Because the onboard staff are the heroes of any flight. They’re the smiling faces that greet you as you board, the friendly waiter delivering you a midnight snack, and the team that keeps you safe as you get from A to B.

But as brilliant as they are, they’re only human.

So where do they sleep?!

It’s a question we often ask, sitting in cramped economy seats.

And now, we have the answer. Zachary Griff, a Travel Analyst at The Points Guy, has revealed on Instagram what the cabin crew sleeping quarters look like.

In a video posted to Instagram, Griff takes us inside the tight crew quarters of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The space, aboard an American Airlines plane, has room for six crew members and sits up a flight of stairs, above the main passenger cabin.

Typically, airlines hide the sleeping quarters behind a nondescript door, and staff need a key or a passcode to access the room. Each bed in the staff sleeping area also features its own seatbelt, presumably there to keep the crew in their beds if the plane strikes turbulence.
