Families across Australia have the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime Thomas & Friends-themed train journey on the Indian Pacific this October.

Mattel’s beloved children’s franchise, Thomas & Friends, is giving Australian families the ultimate chance to be crowned the nation’s biggest fans. To celebrate more than eight decades of inspiring creativity and adventure, Thomas & Friends is partnering with Journey Beyond to offer one lucky family of four an unforgettable cross-country train adventure.

How to enter

The winning family will embark on the legendary Indian Pacific from Sydney to Perth, travelling in Thomas & Friends-themed train cabins for the full journey. It’s a unique opportunity to experience Australia’s vast landscapes.

Families who believe they’re Australia’s biggest Thomas fans are invited to enter by uploading a short video to www.celebratewiththomas.com. Entrants should share their story and explain why Thomas holds a special place in their hearts. The competition opens at 12.01 am AEST on Thursday, 2nd October and closes at 11:59 pm on Thursday, 23rd October.

Since 1945, when Reverend W. Awdry first introduced Thomas in The Railway Series, the iconic blue engine has delighted children and parents alike. The franchise has since expanded into books, television, films, live events and toys, entertaining fans in more than 200 territories and 52 languages worldwide.

To mark Thomas & Friends’ 80th anniversary, a limited edition Mattel 80th collector diecast Thomas engine is now available for fans at Mattel Australia. The full range of Thomas & Friends toys can also be found in-store and online at Big W, Target, Myer, Amazon and other independent specialty retailers.
