Merlin Entertainment has partnered with Hasbro to bring a Peppa Pig theme park to Florida in the United States.

It’s not like families need another excuse to holiday in Florida. Universal Studios, Walt Disney World and Sea World attract millions of tourists to the state each year. This is just another reason to add it to the bucket list.

The theme park will be built as a stand-alone addition to Legoland Florida Resort in White Haven near Orlando. 

Merlin’s Group Chief Development Officer Mark Fisher said the park is expected to open 2022.

It “will bring to life even more of the sights, sounds and experiences that family audiences know and love so much from Peppa’s world,” Fisher said.

Florida families can buy annual Passes to the Peppa Pig theme park. The park will also sell inclusive passes with admission to the Legoland theme park and water park, as well as other regional Merlin Entertainments.

Merlin is expected to announce the rides in the US summer. But we do know that the Peppa Pig theme park will have gentle thrill-rides, attractions, live shows, playgrounds and water play areas. Children can even jump around in “muddy puddles”.

Visitors will also have ample opportunity to meet Peppa, Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig, George and all Peppa’s friends as they wander about the park.

This is not the first Peppa Pig theme park in the world. Another already exists in Paultons Park, United Kingdom.

The UK’s Peppa Pig World features rides such as Grandpa Pig’s Little Train, Peppa’s Big Balloon Ride and George’s Dinosaur Adventure.
