Disney has recently released the secret ingredients used in some of their most popular recipes. The Disney Parks Blog has catalogued the ingredients you need and the cooking methods used for the delicious dishes sold at Disney theme parks. Channel the spirit of Disney and make your favourite Disney treats from the comfort of your own home.

Peppermint Marshmallow Wands

In the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, you’ll find Marceline’s Confectionery, a lolly shop named after the small Missouri town Walt himself lived in as a child.

One of the most popular Disney recipes served up at the confectionery store is the Peppermint Marshmallow Wands. Usually made around Christmas, these treats can now be enjoyed any time of year at home.

Make this Disney recipe at home to enjoy fluffy marshmallows dipped in caramel or chocolate and covered in crushed peppermint lollies.  This one may take a little longer, between 30 to 60 minutes. However, they’re definitely worth the wait and will be gobbled up within the day.

Tropical Blended Beverages

These delicious drinks are a signature from Summertime Freeze at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in The Bahamas. This special place is reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests on Bahamian and Caribbean cruises.

If you’re missing summer or craving a tropical getaway, bring a slice of paradise to your kitchen with these deliciously refreshing beverages. All four Disney recipes are perfect for cooling down on a hot day or channelling holiday vibes at home.

Choose ‘Warm Hugs’ for a strawberry flavoured ice-cream shake. There’s also the aptly named ‘Sven’s Carrot Delight’, an orange drink made from a variety of juices and coconut cream. Try the ‘Worth Melting For’ if you’re after a refreshing passionfruit pina colada. Last but not least, the ‘Frozen Heart’ offers up tropical flavours combined with coconut water. If you’re making these recipes with kids, simply replace the alcohol with juice or water.

Disney chefs from around the world have shared their favourite cookie recipes for fans to make at home.  Not only will you fill the house with delicious smells, but also the Mickey-shaped hole in your heart while you’re away from Disney’s theme parks.

Try your hand at the Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookies from Disneyland Paris. These fancy chocolate chip cookies are topped with pecans, dried fruit and a dark chocolate drizzle. Or put your baking skills to the test with Belle’s Enchanted Christmas Tree from Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. This tiered cookie is not for baking newbies – unless you’re game. Its three layers include almond macarons, cranberry buttercream and cranberry-orange white chocolate ganache.

The Pumpkin Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is another popular recipe. Ice cream squished between two delicious autumnal cookies, what more could you wish for? If you don’t trust yourself THAT much, why not go for a classic. The Shortbread Cookies from Disneyland Resort are simple, delicious and most importantly, easy.

St. Patrick’s Day Reuben Totchos

St. Patrick’s Day may have past but this recipe is still a keeper. The cook at Restaurantosaurus, one of the restaurants at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, knows corned beef is a St Patrick’s Day staple. Hence their famous corned beef recipe to celebrate the Irish holiday. Now you can try these mouth-watering St. Patrick’s Day Reuben Totchos at home, previously only served in DinoLand USA at Walt Disney World.

The recipe combines crispy potato gems, cheddar cheese sauce, sautéed corned beef, sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing, mustard and crunchy rye croutons. Save this quick and tasty Disney recipe for St. Patrick’s Day, or enjoy it whenever your stomach desires.

Food preparation for this Disney recipe should only take around 15 minutes. This is excluding cooking time for the potato gems, which can be found on the packaging and depend on your oven settings.

Brisket Mac and Cheese

Straight out of Smokejumpers Grill at the Disney California Adventure Park, this Disney recipe is sure to satisfy grumbling tummies. You won’t have to visit Disney to take this kid classic to a whole other level – cook it from the comfort of your own home instead.

Think creamy, comforting mac and cheese, topped with smoked barbecue brisket, pickled red onions and crispy fried shallots. Is your mouth watering too?

To make this one, you’ll need red onion, flour, shallots, beef brisket, elbow macaroni, both cheddar and cream cheese, barbecue sauce, herbs and spices.

This Disney recipe is a bit nit-picky, with a few different components coming together to complete the dish. But fear not, if you’re low on time or barbecuing skills, there are a few ways to simplify this one. We suggest either buying pre-made mac and cheese, pickled onions in the jar or picking up brisket that has already been smoked from your local butcher.
