Woman’s 7 hour road trip in search of dessert

Vicky Gee, from Cambridge in the UK, really wanted to try a Biscoff bubble waffle dessert she’d seen on TikTok.

The dessert is made by Dolly’s Desserts and it’s so popular the shop has lines out the door, even with COVID.

Desperate to taste it, Vicky got in her car and drove 200km to the town of Barnesly to place her order. Then she drove all the way home again. 

Vicky’s story took the team at Dolly’s Desserts by surprise.

“How far would you travel just to get a dessert?” one of the Dolly’s Desserts team members said on a TikTok video.

“This customer travelled all the way from Cambridge and, if you don’t know where Cambridge is from Barnsley, it’s literally like three, three-and-a-half hours away.

“Like that’s ridiculous. So obviously I filmed it for a TikTok.”

The most incredible dessert

To be fair to Vicky, the bubble waffle dessert is pretty delicious. 

She bought a bubble waffle with ice cream, Kinder Bueno sauce, whipped cream, a Lotus Biscoff biscuit, and Biscoff sauce. 

Asked whether it was worth the journey, Vicky said the dessert was “insane” and promised to come back.

“Thank you so much for it!! It was insane! We will defo be back to visit you,” she wrote on Dolly’s Dessert’s TikTok.

Not her only sweet stop

In her own video documenting her 200km road trip, Vicky said she also stopped at an American candy store in Doncaster on the way.
