Universal Epic Universe is now open in Orlando

Universal Epic Universe opened at Universal Orlando Resort in May, offering kids, families and thrill-seekers five immersive new worlds to explore.

Universal Epic Universe, the much-anticipated fourth theme park at Universal Orlando Resort, officially opened its gates on 22 May 2025. Designed to transport guests into new realms of imagination and adventure, the park features five extraordinary worlds, each promising thrilling experiences. Epic Universe will feature cutting-edge tech such as facial recognition, augmented reality, interactive wearables (like Nintendo’s Power-Up Bands), and immersive ride systems to take storytelling to the next level.

What to expect at Universal Epic Universe

At the centre of the complex lies Celestial Park, a lush, garden-inspired area filled with sparkling waterways, winding paths and relaxing green spaces, the perfect place to start your day before venturing into the more adventurous realms beyond.

Among the biggest drawcards is SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, where guests can race through Mushroom Kingdom with Mario, Luigi and friends, or dive into Donkey Kong Country, which is making its U.S. debut. The land combines interactive gameplay, attractions, dining and retail in a celebration of Nintendo’s iconic worlds.

Families can also soar with dragons in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, a colourful Viking village where dragon rides, character encounters and themed dining bring the beloved DreamWorks trilogy to life.

Things take a darker turn (in the most thrilling way!) in Dark Universe, where guests encounter legendary monsters such as Dracula, The Wolf Man and Frankenstein. From spine-tingling rides to monster makeovers, this spooky realm offers chills and excitement for all ages.

Rounding out the experience is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, where fans of both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films can explore spellbinding locations set in wizarding Paris and the British Ministry of Magic, dine magically, shop for wands, and experience Universal’s most ambitious ride yet.
