Dreamworld is getting a $75 million resort and caravan park

Dreamworld could be getting a brand new $75 million resort.

The proposed 240-room hotel would include 40 bungalows, a five-star caravan park, conference facilities, restaurants, swimming pools and a gymnasium.

Plus it’s set to have 100 powered sites for families caravanning to the Gold Coast.

Guests would have access to exclusive Dreamworld and WhiteWater World theme park offers during their stay.

The $75 million proposal comes after Dreamworld entered a non-binding agreement with developed Evolution Group.

The hotel and tourist park will be on the doorstep of the Dreamworld theme park and White Waterworld water park. It will be built on adjacent land owned by Ardent Leisure.

This will add a new level of convenience for guests to move freely between the resort and theme park.

The new Dreamworld resort aims to boost tourism.

“This announcement is another positive step in the recovery of our parks post-COVID and will have a significant economic impact not only for Dreamworld, but also for the northern Gold Coast,” Dreamworld Chief Executive Greg Yong told the Brisbane Times. 

Mr Yong also said the project would create jobs in the local community and would complement Dreamworld as a “premium entertainment destination”.
