The Ocky strap road trip hack every parent needs to know

If you’ve ever taken a road trip with kids, you know that things can sometimes get a little bit messy. 

On more than one occasion, we parents find ourselves scrabbling around the glove box for tissues, or wipes or anything to clean up the mess.

One handy dad has found the ultimate car mess solution thanks to the good, old Ocky strap.

US website, the Family Handyman shared a tip from Donald Boland that will change the way you road trip. 

Behold, the handy towel holder – a paper towel roll, secured in the boot with an ocky strap.

Genius.

Bolland told the blog he learned the ocky strap hack from his father. 

“The towels will be handy but won’t take up space (or get wrecked) rolling around your trunk,” he said. 

If you have a longer ocky strap you can also use it to stop your groceries from sliding around in the car. 

Simply thread the ocky strap through the bag handles and they, and your shopping, won’t be going anywhere.
