Get ready, Melbourne! The brand-new Hijinx Hotel has arrived at QV, and it’s not your average check-in.

Melbourne families, brace yourselves for a hotel stay like no other as Hijinx Hotel officially opens its doors this Friday, 1 August 2025, at QV Melbourne. Teaming up with Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, this new double-decker fun zone brings two next-level entertainment venues under one lively roof, right in the heart of the city.

Forget room service. At Hijinx Hotel, it’s all about fast-paced games, puzzle rooms and brain-tickling challenges that’ll get the whole family laughing. Designed as a quirky hotel where you “play, not stay,” this immersive complex has 10 vibrant hotel rooms filled with colourful chaos, clever clues and fun for all ages. In teams of two to six, players take on a series of five game rooms at a time, with just four minutes to complete each one. Expect ball pits and giggle-inducing challenges.

The new Melbourne venue offers new experiences. Budding detectives and energetic explorers can sneak through a fast-paced art heist game or race across an enormous interactive light-up grid that responds to every move. Think dance floor meets digital dodgeball.

Archie Brothers

Just next door, Archie Brothers brings its signature circus-style arcade to QV. With claw machines, classic and new-age arcade games, VR adventures and wildly whimsical cocktails (hello, parents’ reward!).
